Jaymie Heilman

Jaymie Heilman was born in Edmonton, Canada and lived in Wisconsin, Peru, and Nova Scotia before circling back home to Alberta. She started her career as a historian, writing about change inside countries. Now she writes novels about change inside people's hearts. 

Jaymie has published two books about the history of Peru and her YA novel Badass(ish) came out with Canada’s Ronsdale Press in 2023.  

If she isn't reading or writing, Jaymie's probably swimming, gardening, or biking to the library. She lives near the North Saskatchewan River with her husband, son, and an astonishing number of books. Visit her website at jaymieheilman.com
