Clara Kirkpatrick

Born and raised in the East Village of New York City, illustrator Clara Kirkpatrick carries the city’s energy and character into her work today. She has her BA in Art History from Grinnell College, and an MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. Since receiving her master’s in 2018, she has worked as a freelance illustrator on a wide range of projects for clients like The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Google, Old Navy, and more. She has had the pleasure of publishing books, tarot cards, puzzles, and greeting cards. Her work is often character-based with a narrative style, playful yet relatable and memorable.
